Bar Shots: Murray Hill
An uneventful night of flashers, beer pong and grindin'
After our highly succesful and insightful explorations of Orchard
Street, Smith Street, Ninth Avenue, and Tribeca, we headed east for the
newest installment of Bar Shots, our series that navigates an area of
town and the bars (and people) that populate it.
This time
around, we made our way to the bars of Murray Hill on a warm Friday night. We expected to find the stereotypical blend of neighborhood Big Ten school alum looking for a "chill night," after-work types, and some sundry boozers but were a little disapointed to discover that the 'hood didn't even have them anymore. We made the best of the bland cards we were dealt and attempted to check out what—if anything—was going on. — Perrie Samotin

We're on a first-name basis
There are so many ways to categorize a few of my favorite watering holes. There's the obvious, like bars by neighborhood or best places for after-work drinks. Then there's the less so. Herein, a list of my top spots that you can call by name.

Astoria Bar Crawl: Better Than The Beer Garden!
Don't feel like waiting in line to snag a seat and a pitcher at the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden this summer? There are plenty of other places in this diverse 'hood to get your drink (and dance) on. Here are a few of my favorite spots.
