Pride March
Pride Parade
Outside of perhaps Comic-Con, it's hard to think of a more colorful display of people and costumes than what was seen at this year's Pride March. Taking place on Sunday, June 29, the March, which went from 52nd St. and 5th Ave. down to Christopher and Greenwich Sts., capped off a week of Pride-related events and parties. It was an event both light-hearted and serious, with messages of tolerance mixed in with...well, a lot of great clothing and music. Admittedly, The Onion may have a point about the more outlandish moments of the march...but there's something very liberating about watching people who simply ask for acceptance without prejudice.
